GTD is the acronym time managers and tweeters currently use for Getting Things Done (on Amazon #ad) from the book by David Allen.  Yes, we can get things done by checking them off our To Do List, but are we doing the right things?

In my TAPP Steps in Time Management book, I promote doing the right things by assigning priorities and working on the highest (most important) priorities first during your peak performance time.  Below is another productivity pro talking about To Do Lists activities verses true accomplishment.
